Streator Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 607 receives its charter on October 5, establishing a Masonic presence in the growing community.
The first man to be raised a Master Mason in Streator Lodge #607 was Walter Thiedohr, marking the beginning of the lodge’s initiatic history.
The lodge expands as Streator becomes a thriving coal and glass manufacturing town, strengthening its foundation of fellowship and service.
The cornerstone of the new lodge building is laid at 122 N. Park St., containing a time capsule with a local newspaper, meeting minutes, and records of the $30,000 construction funded by $100 contributions from each member.
The lodge undergoes a major remodel, adding woodworking and architectural details that would remain untouched for nearly a century.

On the lodge’s 100th anniversary, the 1905 time capsule is opened, reconnecting members with the vision and dedication of the lodge’s founders.

The lodge celebrates 125 years of brotherhood, service, and community involvement.
Streator Lodge #607 begins supporting local academic excellence through Scholastic Bowl sponsorships.
The former Masonic Temple at 122 N. Park St. is restored, preserving exposed brick, original woodworking, and adding modern touches like a recycled‑glass bar top.
In May 2013, Streator Lodge #607 moves to its current location at 218 N. Sterling St., beginning a new chapter in its long history.
The lodge celebrates 150 years of Masonic brotherhood and community service.
The lodge launches its annual scholarship program to support local students pursuing higher education.
The lodge completes a modern interior remodeling project at 218 N. Sterling St., enhancing the space while preserving its character and traditions.
The lodge begins its Books for Bikes initiative, encouraging literacy and rewarding young readers in the community.
After being discontinued in 2013, the lodge proudly restarts its beloved Breakfast with Santa tradition.
The lodge launches Kids Fun Night, offering a safe, family‑friendly evening of games, activities, and community bonding.
